What is Revolution for Cats?

Revolution is a broad-spectrum, easy-to-apply, monthly topical parasitic treatment designed for cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older. This 5-in-1 vet-recommended treatment protects cats against fleas, heartworms, roundworms, hookworms and ear mites.

Revolution kills adult fleas, prevents flea eggs from hatching for a month and prevents and controls flea infestations. It is also indicated for the treatment and control of roundworm and hookworm infections. Moreover, it prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis and treats and controls ear mite infestations. Revolution can also be safely used with other treatments including vaccines, anthelmintics, antibiotics, antiparasitics, steroids, collars, shampoos and dips. It is safe for breeding, pregnant and lactating cats.

How does Revolution for Cats work?

Revolution for Cats is formulated with a powerful ingredient, selamectin that gets absorbed in the cat's skin after administration and kills parasites by interfering with their glutamate-gated chloride channels, causing paralysis and death of the parasite.

It kills over 98% of adult fleas within 36 hours and controls over 90% of flea infestations within 30 days of administration. It also reduces flea egg production by over 95% within 48 hours and 99.98% within 72 hours.

• Weigh your cat beforehand to ensure dosage accuracy
• Choose an appropriate pack depending on your cat’s weight.
• Take a dose out of the pack.
• Firmly press the cap to ensure that the seal is broken.
• A clicking sound will confirm that the cap has punctured the seal.
• Remove the cap and check that the tube tip is open.
• Part the hair on the back of the cat's neck, between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.
• Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze 3 to 4 times to empty the entire contents in one spot.
• Do not massage the liquid into the skin.
• Avoid applying to broken skin.
• Do not apply to wet coat.
• Bathing or shampooing the cat 2 hours after treatment will not affect the effectiveness of the treatment.
