What is Credelio Plus Heartwormer for Dogs?

Credelio Plus is a broad-spectrum parasitic treatment for dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age, weighing at least 3.08 lbs. It comes in a highly palatable beef flavor and caters to dogs of various breeds and ages.

The chew formula treats and controls tick infestations caused by brown dog ticks and Asian longhorned ticks. It kills fleas before they lay eggs and controls flea allergy dermatitis by controlling adult fleas. The treatment also prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis. It further treats and controls gastrointestinal worms like roundworms, hookworms and whipworms. Additionally, Credelio Plus treats and controls demodex mites.

How does it work?

Credelio Plus heartworm treatment for dogs features Lotilaner & Milbemycin oxime as its active ingredients. Lotilaner paralyzes and kills parasites by interfering with the signals passed between their nerve cells.  Milbemycin oxime increases nematode and insect membrane permeability to chloride ions, leading to hyperpolarization of the neuromuscular membrane and flaccid paralysis and death of the parasites, including mites, larval and adult stages of nematodes and larvae (L3/L4) of Dirofilaria immitis.
